Welcome to NPDA

Nepal Plant Disease and Agro Associates (NPDA) is a private organization established by a group of senior scientists, retired from Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) of the Government of Nepal.

NPDA has been established to learn, share and transfer of knowledge for teaching, research and development of agriculture and allied sciences and enhance private sectors’ role in the application of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). NPDA has established its own laboratory and training facilities.

What NPDA Does?

NPDA provides services on following areas of plant protection:

Plant disease and pest diagnosis - electronic correspondence, field visits and plant clinics at specified sites
Seed health testing
Research - survey, host resistance and management options
Pesticides and biopesticides - efficacy tests
Biocontrol agents - isolation, evaluation and commercial production
NPDA culture collection of plant pathogens - isolation, evaluation and production
Training - standard and tailor-made (farmers, students, technicians, extension personnel and others)
Consultations - short-term and long-term
Publications - books, booklets, chapters etc on plant diseases and related fields
Plant health clinics - identification of plant diseases and their control measures

Our Unique Services

The Trichoderma House; Trichoderma House is the first of its kind in Nepal for exploring and application of Trichoderma for the management of disease and better growth of crop plants.
